Private Family Office
When wealth grows across accounts, entities, advisors, and generations, the real challenge is no longer access to advice. It is making sure every decision still fits together. Without clear coordination, even expertly crafted strategies can drift apart, opportunities can be missed, and important details can go unaddressed. Independent, fee-only, and legally bound as your fiduciary, your team works together across planning, investments, tax, and estate strategy to provide clarity, continuity, and confidence across your family’s financial life.
Questions We Hear From Families
Is our investment strategy truly tax-efficient, or are we leaving money on the table every April?
If something happened to me tomorrow, would my family know exactly where everything is and what to do?
Are our trusts and estate documents actually doing what we think they are?
How do we prepare the next generation to handle wealth responsibly without creating entitlement?
Is our philanthropic giving maximizing both impact and tax benefit?
Are all of our professionals actually talking to each other, or are we falling through the cracks?
Do we have a real plan, or just a collection of accounts and good intentions?

One clear path through every account, entity, and objective.

A living plan that brings order to your entire financial life. Every account, entity, and trust in one consolidated view, maintained by your team. Goals-based projections track your short, mid, and long-term objectives with continuous updates, while retirement cash flows are optimized for tax efficiency and stripped of unnecessary risk. Routine collaboration with your other professionals keeps the entire team aligned.
What This Means For Your Family
Confidence that every financial decision connects to a unified strategy, so opportunities aren't wasted.
Investment Management
Portfolios built around your life.

Disciplined management that links your investments directly to your risk profile, cash flow needs, and family timeline. Asset allocation and asset location strategies are integrated across taxable, retirement, and trust accounts. Portfolios are independently sourced, globally diversified, and built to emphasize cost control and tax awareness. Ongoing monitoring, rebalancing, and tax-loss harvesting are tied to your family's objectives, not to short-term market noise.
What This Means For Your Family
Investment decisions that reinforce your wealth plan, your income needs, and your legacy goals in a single coordinated strategy.
Trust & Estate Planning
Control today. Continuity for generations.

Simplified management of even the most sophisticated estate structures, with expert tax and probate mitigation built in from the start. Your wills, trusts, asset titling, healthcare provisions, and beneficiary designations are reviewed, organized, and kept current. Strategies address estate taxes, liquidity needs, and asset protection for both you and your heirs. Your estate attorney and trustees collaborate directly with your team to keep every document aligned with your financial plan.
What This Means For Your Family
A future where your wealth preserves your intentions, not just your assets, with seamless continuity into the next generation.
Tax Planning
Proactive decisions throughout the year.

Integrated tax strategy that connects your income, investments, business interests, and estate plan into one forward-looking framework. Multi-year projections identify opportunities before they expire. Coordination with your CPA covers tax reduction strategies, estimated payments, entity choices, and year-end positioning. Withdrawal, stock-option, and distribution strategies are tailored for families and business owners. Charitable giving and wealth transfer techniques are designed to support your heirs and favored causes while managing the tax impact.
What This Means For Your Family
More of what you have built stays where you intended it, every year, across every entity.
Four specialists. One coordinated strategy.
Your team operates as the executive office of your family’s wealth: consolidated reporting, family governance, and a plan built to serve the next generation as well as this one.
Independent · Fee-Only · Fiduciary

FirsTrust served as independent advisors to the Dassler family, founders of Adidas. We are not affiliated with the publicly traded company, Adidas, Adidas AG or its subsidiaries.
Designing a Multigenerational Family Office
In 2014, the Dassler family chose FirsTrust to build a private Family Office with global investment access and independent oversight. The Adidas legacy wealth for three generations was later managed through the Adi Dassler Family Office, engineered by the “good thinkers” at FirsTrust.
Common Questions
The same team, the same four disciplines, and a different cadence. In Comprehensive Wealth Management your lead advisor runs the relationship and brings in the investment, tax, and estate specialists when a decision calls for them, usually once or twice a year. In the Private Family Office each specialist meets with your family in their own standing meetings, works through your entities and trusts individually, and reports to you directly. Most families do not need that cadence, and few want it. The Family Office fits families whose entity count, trust structure, and volume of decisions make separate specialist engagement the efficient way to run things, which in practice means relationships above $10M in managed assets.
