Career Start
Became fluent with cutting-edge systems and advanced programming languages of the time.
Melody was raised in the small town of Clifton, Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C., where she held various data processing positions throughout college as the new Information Age evolved. As Melody completed her Information Technology degree, the "World Wide Web" had just been launched to facilitate information sharing between scientists at universities and major institutes.
Immediately following graduation from college, Melody was recruited under contract with the U.S. Department of Energy's Defense Programs Development Team. During her tenure with DOE, she became fluent with some of the most cutting-edge systems and advanced programming languages of the time.
With Melody's skill set in high demand, she quickly rose through various systems analyst positions, gaining experience with LAN administration, PC support and DOS-UNIX database conversions. In 1999, Melody returned to college to obtain a master's degree in information resource management, and after 20 years of senior-level program/analyst experience at several multinational corporations, she ventured out on her own and formed a technology consulting firm.
Melody is also a graduate of the CISM certification program through ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association). She currently serves as the firm's Chief Information Security Officer and oversees the cybersecurity policies that minimize the firm's risk of cyber intrusion and procedures for safeguarding client information.
As markets grow more global and complex, Melody continues to advance her education in the ever-changing world of cybersecurity technology and compliance with SEC rules and regulations.
Melody and Michael (the firm's Founding Partner) have been married since 1988.
