Backstory:
Dan is a lifelong Floridian. As the son of a US Navy commander, Dan witnessed the direct correlation between hard work and success, and he inherited a personal value system that continually drives him to raise the bar on his own expectations.
Career in Finance:
After graduating from Florida State University, Dan began his career marketing accounting systems to small businesses. As his professional aspirations grew, Dan shifted his career path toward helping people secure their financial goals, and he began to gain experience with various insurance, bank and brokerage products and services.
After 10 years and multiple levels of success, Dan became concerned that his employers were more interested in their own profit agenda than his clients'. The constant push to meet sales quotas and promote products provided him neither the time, nor the incentive, to service existing customers.
Dan became convinced that achieving financial success is a process, not a product, and he decided it was time to raise the bar by enhancing his value to his clients.
In 1999, Dan joined FirsTrust and became a Fee-Only Investment Advisor. He soon attained the Certified Investment Management Consultant (CIMC) and Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designations and spent the next 20+ years designing and managing investment portfolios to help his clients achieve their personal goals.
Those who know him best will tell you that Dan is a kind, trustworthy individual with a great sense of humor.

Personal note:
Dan is an avid racquetball player and kayak fisherman. He loves the outdoors, is a proud “Pop Pop” to four grandchildren, and volunteers his time to a non-profit animal rescue organization.
